The first thing you need to know is that I love language. I think there is nothing better than reading a really interesting piece of writing, and I love it when I discover a new word! I also speak French, so I’m bilingual.
My passions aside from language include singing (in the shower mostly), reading (I grew up in a house with floor to ceiling bookshelves, and currently have a stack of books on my bedside table almost as tall as me), writing (I have several novels, picture books and a script that I’m working on at the moment) and photography (my favourite things to photograph are people).
Before I became a teacher I worked as an editor and I’ve had a job as a graphic designer. I also used to manage a conference centre. But none of these jobs were right for me. I value learning, and want to be in an environment that reflects that, so I decided to become a teacher. Because I believe that we can all learn from each other.
Some strange facts you might not know about me are: 1. One of my favourite things is the sound of rain on the roof. 2. I have a fear of being buried alive. 3. I have two middle names!
I’m looking forward to sharing some great experiences with the students in 3/4 this year.
Hi I'm Jeff!
I love learning and think that one of the most important ways to be a better learner is to ask great questions.
